    Xmas Newsletter

Greetings to all our Lovely Customers and Friends at this Christmas time.

The Christmas season is upon us once again and our thoughts turn to our Families and Friends.

After the tragedies of the year, it is nice to focus on the Hope, Peace and Love which this beautiful season represents.

It has been a busy year at Flowers by Joanne. We have welcomed back Emma, who worked with us a few years ago and has returned to the full time staff. Emma is a talented young Senior Florist who can create wonderful arrangements and bouquets with flair.

Our staff members are all trained florists and take great pride in their work.

We pride ourselves on quality service and fresh product, which we guarantee.

Flowers are plentiful this Christmas and there is a great array of colours and varieties available.

We have the “old favourites” being the beautiful Christmas Lillies and Gladioli, together with Roses, Gerberas and Chrysanthemums.

Peonies are at their best at the moment, but will be nearing the end by Christmas.

Don’t forget Family and Friends overseas and place your orders early to avoid disappointment.

We have Gift Baskets available and can make these with a theme, such as “Chocolate Lovers” or “Gardeners”. Gift Baskets are great for Men and can contain Magazines or other items you request.

May we take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a Bright, Healthy and Happy New Year.

Easy steps for the care of your cut flowers

Fill a vase with luke warm water and add a recommended   floral preservative if available.

Carefully remove the flowers from the wrapping.

Remove any foliage which will be under water

With a sharp knife or scissors make a slanting cut 3.5 cms (11/2") off the stem ends.

Arrange flowers as desired and place in a cool position away from draughts, sun and ripening fruit.

Every 3 to 4 days follow steps 1,3 and 4 again.

Special advice: Should roses or chrysanthemums droop, re-cut as in 4 and place stems in a vase of very warm water. Handle chrysanthemums carefully, a knock can shatter them.

Please come back soon to find out more. Thank you and have a great day.
